The expansion will be a free update, and similar to how Capcom handled the Devil May Cry and Assassin’s Creed crossover events, the Iceborne expansion will hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One first, with a PC release down the road. The Iceborne event, which will include unique quests, items, locations and monsters, sees Geralt, the hero from The Witcher series, end up in the New World, where he meets the members of the Research Commission.

Monster Hunter World is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
